A crofter´s daughter from Dalchalm, near Brora, Rhona is
a music graduate of the University of Glasgow and a profilic
composer and arranger of Highland music
She is in great
demand as a performer at local functions, and makes occasional
forays to centres further south, such as Glasgow
Rhona, a skilled
performer on a variety of instruments, is a schools strings instructor
in Ross-shire. In connection with her work in education, she
has been recorded for the School of Scottish Studies, part of
the University of Edinburgh. On the lighter side, not so long
ago she made a guest appearance leading a ceilidh band in a special
edition of the popular TV soap opera, Emmerdale! Joining her
on that memorable occasion were Catriona MacLeod and another musician
friend, Laura McCulloch |
